When developing the content for your website, be sure to capture the information that viewers need to know in order to make them your customer. Remember, every viewer is a potential customer or an advocate for your message you are providing!

These are the types of questions that should go through your head:

  • Am I going to sell products?
  • Is my site just for information?
  • Do I need a portfolio?
  • Am I a blog?
  • What tabs would I like to have on my website? (Ex: Home, About, etc…)
  • Do I want my social media connected to my website?
  • Do I have the content that I want on each tab page?
  • Do I need forms on my website?
  • Do I need a gallery?
  • Do I want my website to be responsive for mobile devices?

What do I need in place before a website is needed?

Domain name (Ex: www.samplesite.com)

Choose the best name that fits your company. It is sometimes helpful to purchase your business name, or purchase a name that is catchy and easy to remember.

Website Hosting

A website cannot survive on air alone! Web hosting is needed to make sure that your information is connected on the world wide web.

Two popular web hosting companies are Godaddy and Just Host. Other providers like Squarespace allow you to build a website on their own server while utilizing their own custom functions for a fee.

Note: We will be able to handle this for you if necessary.
